Our team has many years of experience in teaching, training and assessment. We are all qualified tutors, assessors and verifiers who have worked in Further and Higher Education as well as within private training organisations. Although we are a City & Guilds and ILM accredited centre, we have worked with most of the other UK awarding bodies too, eg OCR, EDI, BCS, NCTJ .
As is the case with the other Associates, she started her training career as a lecturer in further education. NVQs had just been launched and one of her first jobs was as NVQ co-ordinator for the secretarial department at the college. When she left the college she then became involved with Crescent Training. In 2001 she joined City and Guilds as an External Verifier working on Key Skills, Basic Skills and a number of NVQs. She then became an External Verifier for ILEX working on their Paralegal and Legal Secretaries programmes. Her greatest achievement has to be the contract she had to deliver assessor training to housekeepers in the Royal Household.
Sharman has over 20 years' experience as a trainer, assessor and verifier. She has worked with a variety of companies including British Gas, Eurostar and English National Opera but is equally at ease with one-to-one. Areas of expertise are Assessor and Verifier training, Learning & Development, Advice and Guidance, Customer Service and Management NVQs. With a flexible and customer focused approach to training programmes her aim is to make vocational qualifications user friendly and fun. Training programmes are built around customer needs and life style. One of Sharman's achievements was to train a team of assessors and verifiers nationwide to introduce a new qualification in Energy Efficiency.
Valeria loves to be out and about teaching, training and assessing. She also provides Career and Employment Guidance as well as Coaching and is our CDI accredited Careers Adviser. In her first life (in Germany) Valeria was responsible for vocational training in a public Broadcasting and Television company. Upon her arrival in the UK she started working in the City of London. Needless to say, the attractions of money were not strong enough and so she joined an FE college as a lecturer and course co-ordinator where she met Heather. Both took the plunge into self-employment and haven’t looked back since. Valeria delivers training in Advocacy, Advice & Guidance, Career Education Guidance, Customer Service, Team Leading and Management, Assessor and Verifier awards in public sector organisations, professional bodies, SMEs, charities and educational organisations.
